Our Daughters Empowerment Organization was founded by LaGenia D. Bradford. The idea of starting the organizations came from being apart of Future STARs Youth Organization since 2010. In 2015, she started Our Daughters: Empowering Young Women Seminar. The seminar has changed the lives of many teenage girls in the community. Our Daughters: Empowering Young Women Seminar and Sisterhood Women Workshop will teach and introduce practical skills, techniques, and ideas which will enhance the daily lives of those that attend the events. LaGenia goal is to have a lasting impact in the community. She wants to make a difference in the lives of girls and women by inspiring and empowering them to seek change for the better.

I'm a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I earned my bachelors degree in 2010. In 2013, I graduated from Nicholls State University where I earned my masters degree in Education, with a Masters in Art in Teaching. I'm currently employed by St. Mary Parish School Board. I have been teaching for eight years. In the past eight years, I have taught at the high school, middle school, and elementary school levels and coached girls basketball and girls volleyball.
